The picture to my left is a snapshot of my ubuntu desktop. This looks sexy, especially the lady in the burning flames....somebody help her...lol.
Well, my mom and dad delivered me into a window, so i started using windows(from Microsoft). I kick myself all the time for this and wished i was born into the world of Linux right from the onset. But any ways, i thank God for not getting me stuck in Bill Gates' windows forever.
My contract with windows has expired and am not open for any new negotiations. I have finally gotten what i wanted in the world of computers, and that is sitting behind a computer pimped with Linux operating system, well, that's joy for me.
Okey, enough of the Linux hype!...lets get down to why you should wipe your windows box completely and install a fresh copy of a Linux OS(Ubuntu is my favorite):
1) If security is at the top of priority list in whatever form of computing you are doing, then Linux will save your ass better. It is more secure and immune to malicious software like viruses, worms, trojan horses, rootkits, just to mention a few. If you are as paranoid as i am about your data and information, then don't wait until your nude videos or pictures are posted on facebook or youtube before you react, just jump into the Linux wagon and your ass will be better covered.
2) I love speedy stuff, that is why i will use my life savings to buy a Lamborghini sports car. I have done a benchmark test on both systems(windows 7 vs ubuntu 12.04LTS) and the ubuntu system came out on top of the race. It means that, a Linux system boots faster and will run your programs faster than that of a windows system. So if you need speed, then you need linux to drive with.
3) Get all the software you need at no cost(for freeeeeeee!). Are you the type of person who wants to have lots of stuff for fre? like having a free lunch at your friends place everyday? Then you just got your prayers answered. The linux operating system in itself is free including all the softwares you will ever need all available for free. Every software you can use in a windows box has a better equivalent in the linux world and you can grab these softwares for free, no activation codes or online registration and payment needed.
